Monster Energy - Immersive Retail

Monster Energy: Immersive Retail Activation

We created an immersive retail experience, with an interactive Monster Energy display with motion-tracked 3D animation and fridge-triggered visuals, driving customer engagement.

Overview

We designed and implemented a cutting-edge Point of Sale installation for Monster Energy, aiming to redefine the retail experience. This project involved developing a large-screen display that featured a dynamic 3D animation of the Monster Energy can. Utilizing advanced motion tracking technology, we ensured the 3D can’s perspective shifted in real-time, mirroring the viewer’s position, creating an illusion of depth and interaction.

To further enhance engagement, we integrated a sensor into the display fridge; opening the fridge door triggered a visually stunning ice animation on the screen, immersing the customer in a cool, refreshing brand experience. This multi-sensory approach was meticulously crafted to capture attention, increase product visibility, and create a lasting, memorable interaction with the Monster Energy brand.

Challenges

Our key challenges included:

Real-time 3D interaction: Developing a responsive 3D video that accurately tracked viewer movement to change perspective required precise calibration and optimization within Unity.

Seamless hardware integration: Ensuring the fridge door sensor and screen animations synchronized perfectly demanded meticulous coding and hardware testing, guaranteeing a smooth and engaging user experience.

Business value

The Monster Energy installation delivered these benefits:

Enhanced brand engagement: The interactive display created a memorable, immersive experience, capturing customer attention and increasing brand recall at the point of sale.

Increased product visibility: The dynamic 3D animation and interactive elements effectively highlighted the Monster Energy product, driving customer interaction and potential sales.
